![]() 1 gives too much bounce like on a boat and 6 makes you hold on for your dear life. ![]() My guess is that most riders fall somewhere between 2 and 4 on that setting. If you have any question regarding which number does what, you'll know then. I also recommend going to the extreme on the rebound setting if you have them. No more pumps or special wrenches needed. Its an easy twist of the shock (making sure you turn both equally and in the same direction.just saying) to adjust the stiffness or lack there of right there on the spot. I recommend leaving the bags off while you do your test rides so you're able to adjust them easily every time you pull over. They not only went out of there way to make sure I had the right product but did it quickly! I wish more places were like that.Ībout the shocks: Just as some have already said, installation was nuts and bolts easy.literally. First off, when it comes to customer service and QUICK replies or service in general.I have to say that Legend has got to have the BEST customer service team and lack of red tape I have ever had the privledge to work with. I just picked up a pair of the REVO-A shocks as well for my 2011 RG Custom. I hope this review helps everyone make an educated decision. I am very happy with these, and do not plan on changing them out. They were priced competitively at around $700.00. If you haven't done away with the mushy non-re-bounding stock rear shocks, I would recommend doing so, and replacing them with a set of these. The Revo's stiffen up the rear end, and with the front being upgraded, the bike just feels solid. I will also add, that these shocks are a very nice compliment to the "Gold Valve cartridge emulators" that I dropped in the front forks. They ride quite comfortably without being too stiff, but stiff enough to keep the bike tracking "true" in big sweeping high speed (80+mph) curves. Now I'm just fine tuning, and I think I'm very close to having them dialed in. ![]() Cranked down on the spring to try a different pre-load, and adjusted the rebound, and off I went to for the 2nd test run.ĪHHHH! the 2nd run yielded much better results. After installation, I set the sag, and off I went to test them. The Legend Revo-A shocks installed easily, and looked good right out of the box. He told my friend he thought the Revo's were more comfortable, so I decided to try them. I got the Revo's on the advice of my mechanic friend who said his Specialties Rep road up to Sturgis on Progressive 944's and rode back with the Revo's. Also, consider Heavy-Duty if the majority of your riding is 2-Up with a passenger and/or gear.Well, as I promised last week that I would write a review when I got the Legend Revo-A shocks installed.
